Ajay is the founding director and Chief Executive Officer of Jopasana. He has led the company since its inception in 1990. As an entrepreneur, Ajay has played an integral role in establishing the ideas and concepts of software automation to the Indian process industry. He brings in 20 years of rich experience in concept-to-deployment of mission critical industrial software systems. He has worked extensively in the areas of Industrial process control, real-time systems, mathematical modeling, and process simulation. Ajay looks at strategic partnership development, business development and execution functions.

Prior to founding Jopasana, he was in-charge of Software & Simulation division in Laval Automation, an Alfa Laval subsidiary company, handling software development and simulation. Before this stint he worked with Alfa Laval India in Sales and Engineering.

Ajay is an active member of ISA - International Society for Measurement and Control for several years. He is a member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and actively associated with Indian Institute of Technology - Department of Chemical Engineering (IIChE). He has taught at the University of Pune as an adjunct faculty and has also been invited as expert to industry training programs at IIT Mumbai. He has served as a member on the committee set up by the government on dynamic training simulation. He has several papers to his credit which have been presented in various national and international seminars especially in the areas of real-time control, modeling and industrial applications of software systems.

His interests include application of software systems to managing total cost of ownership of critical industrial systems and application of control engineering principals to solving multidisciplinary software engineering problems.

Ajay received his Bachelors - B.Tech in Chemical Engineering - from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai, India. He also holds an MS in Computer Science from University of Pune.

Professor Madhavan is an integral part of the Jopasana community in providing technology and application insights to Jopasana business. Prof. Madhavan is a prolific teacher and brings in multi-disciplinary thinking to ways of working. He provides direction on technology and domain aspects for Jopasana.

Prof. Madhavan has been teaching at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay since 1964 and has made a number of contributions to research in the areas of process systems engineering. He has also served as a visiting professor at Purdue University, Indiana, USA. He has held several important positions, including Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Dean (R & D), and Head of the CAD Centre at IIT Bombay. He has also been a member and convener of several apex committees of the institute. He was a major contributor to the conceptualization and establishment of the CAD Centre and was a member of the first committee that conceptualized its management program. He has also been involved in establishing the School of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Bombay.

In recognition of his achievements, Prof. Madhavan was conferred the award for excellence in teaching at IIT Bombay in 1998, the year the award was first instituted, and also the Lifetime Achievement Award of IIT Bombay in the year 2002 in recognition of his outstanding contribution as a teacher, scientist, technologist, and administrator.

Prof. Madhavan has also made significant contribution to the industries which, amongst others, include Heavy Water Board, Ministry of Petroleum, Department of Electronics, Indian Oil Corporation, and ICICI.

Prof. Madhavan holds a PhD from IIT Bombay.

Girish Kelkar is a veteran with 32 years of experience in management of high technology companies including several software technology companies. He has been working as a member of the Board of the Directors with several IT companies over the last 15 years. Girish joined the Jopasana family in December 2004.

Initially he worked as a senior professional for Business and Engineering Applications in India and traveled across the world to set up various international operations. He has directed software development projects in India, Nigeria UK and USA.

He is also a Director at cMAT Software Private Ltd, Pune - one of Jopasana's business alliances which is engaged in a wide variety of Business Applications including MRP, ERP, Supply Chain, CRM, Engineering & Process simulation applications, Development & implementation of customized software applications. He has worked at senior positions at a number of organizations that include Onward Technologies, Ltd, Hinditron Computers Ltd., Alfa Laval (I) Ltd., Satt Control (I) Ltd., and Magic Software Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

Girish holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering form the University of Pune and a post graduate from the National Institute of Training in Industrial Engineering (NITIE). He is a member of numerous professional organizations including Computer Society of India (CSI), and Mensa International. He has served as a visiting faculty member at a number of institutions in India and Nigeria.

Girish's dream is to take Jopasana into the next growth orbit and has been shouldering the responsibility to build necessary capabilities to scale the organization.

Leif Eriksson has over 35 years of industrial experience in management of high technology companies engaged in Industrial Automation. Leif has contributed substantially to the Swedish high technology industry. He has set up and directed operations of various organizations worldwide including Sweden, USA, India, Germany and other West European countries. He has been working as a member of the Board of the Directors with several IT and technology companies over the last 20 years.

Leif has had a distinguished career as an entrepreneur in the start-up and development of small to medium-sized innovative companies that specialize in industrial automation and IT. In early 1990, Leif founded Emotron AB, Sweden and has continued as CEO and the last 5 years as Director. He has also served as Director of Alfa Laval Automation India, Chairman of Sigma Exallon Systems AB, and Chairman of AMT Advanced Multimedia Technology AB.

He currently serves as Chairman of Parameter AB, Portello AB, Pen Book AB and Director of Emotron AB, Westermo Teleindustrier AB, Westermo Data Communication Inc, Senior Partner in Leox Business and Capital Brokers, and Board member in Swedish Academy of Directors.

Leif started his career in Sweden for an Industrial Automation organization and later joined Alfa Laval Automation AB - a flagship company of Alfa Laval Sweden. Over the years he worked in many functional areas that include Business Development, Distribution, Product Development, Field Service, and Manufacturing Operations. He went on to become the President of Alfa-Laval Automation AB (Sweden).

Leif holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He is a member of numerous professional organizations in Sweden, USA & Western Europe.

Leif's interests include mentoring innovative companies that wish to grow internationally. Leif joins the Jopasana Board as on April 1, 2006 and brings to the table his expertise in business expansion of multinational technology-based companies and an ambition to take Jopasana to new frontiers in the European and US markets through his rich experience, knowledge, and network.
